We would be happy to install your modem, set up or configure an ADSL (broadband) connection or help with any Internet or e-mail problems you may be having.
Hardware Failures or Upgrades
We install processors, memory, motherboards, hard drives, power supplies, graphics and sound cards, modems, CD/DVD drives, floppy drives, etc. We can supply replacement or upgrade components, or we can install components, which you have bought. We also build new bespoke PC systems to order.
PC Not Booting
Your computer will not boot, there are error messages (blue screens) or it will only boot in 'Safe Mode'. These are common problems and our engineers are experienced in identifying the source of the problem and in restoring your computer system to perfect health.
Network Maintenance
Our engineers are experienced in the design, installation and configuration of networks (both peer-to-peer and server based) and in troubleshooting a wide variety of network and server related problems.
Virus / Spyware Attacks
Virus and spyware attacks are becoming more frequent and more serious. They can be amongst the hardest computer problems to deal with. You will need professional help to clear the virus and to repair the damage it may have done to your system.

What are your charges?
Our standard labour rate is £20.00 per hour 25% goes to BrainHelp Scottish Charity.
Are your telephone lines really open 24/7?
Yes, all calls to torryegarage will be answered by a living and friendly human being, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. When calling us, every call will be answered and you will never be greeted by a recorded message or call queuing system.
What happens if the engineer is unable to repair my computer?
In this case, our No-Fix-No-Fee * policy means that there will be nothing to pay at all.
Is there a callout fee to pay?
No. We do not charge a callout fee of any kind.
Do you charge for travelling time?
No. We do not charge for travelling time -unless your are outwith Aberdeen only the time spent by the engineer working on your computer is chargeable.
Are your engineers fully qualified?
Our engineers are fully qualified and highly experienced. They are carefully selected and have all spent many years working in the computer industry.
Which methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payment in cash, by cheque (with guarantee card) and we also accept all major credit and debit cards. A full receipt will be given.
Is your work guaranteed?
Our work is fully guaranteed. All components are supplied new and are covered by a full twelve months parts and labour warranty.
Can I limit the booking to one hours' work?
Yes, you can choose to limit the booking to one hour and the engineer will do his very best to complete the work within the agreed timescale.
If the repair takes only forty minutes, will I have to pay for a full hour?
Our minimum charging period is one hour. If the repair is completed in less time than this, the engineer will offer to stay for the remaining time to carry out a general PC health check or a virus scan.
Do you repair laptops?
We carry out software related repairs to laptops, and we can perform several repairs including hard drive replacement, memory upgrade, cd/dvd writer replacement etc... to take your laptop back into first class condition.
Do you repair printers?
We carry out software related repairs to printers - driver and/or installation problems, however, we do not repair printer hardware failures.
Do you repair monitors?
Unfortunately, we do not carry out repairs to monitors. For monitor hardware failures, we recommend you to contact the manufacturer or perhaps consult a television repair specialist.
